Nice classification

The Nice classification splits goods and services into 45 classes. A trademark is registered for specific classes, so the same word can belong to two owners in two sectors without either infringing the other. This is why Namescope reports a same-name registration in an unrelated class as a low-severity finding rather than a block.

Goods (classes 1–34)

Services (classes 35–45)

Class headings are summaries. The registry's own list governs; a trademark attorney decides the final scope.
