Data we collect
Account details (email, name), session data, scan queries and results, and a short-lived hashed IP for abuse prevention (24 hours for anonymous scans).
Purpose and legal basis
Providing the service (contract), security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest), marketing email (consent only).
Retention
Free-plan scans are summarized after 90 days; anonymous scans are kept for 24 hours. On account deletion personal data is anonymized within 7 days.
Processors and transfers
Hosting and database providers, the email service and error monitoring tools may act as processors. International transfers rely on standard contractual clauses.
Trademark owner data
Owner names shown in reports are what the source already displays publicly; no searchable index is built and they are hidden in shared reports.
Your rights
Exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) by writing to privacy@namescope.dev. Requests are answered within 30 days.
